The Treviso province features a particularly positive labour market situation, recording a frictional unemployment rate equal to 2.6%, the sixth best Italian result and the second, after Vicenza, in the Veneto region.
The unemployment indicator records a remarkable performance (6.1%) also for the 15-24 age group, placing Treviso at the sixth place among Italian provinces and at the second place after Belluno in the Veneto, with an index remarkably lower than the national figure.
The temporal evolution of the employment indicator is positive, considering that in the 1995-2000 five year period the overall index has decreased by nearly one percentage point. The results obtained for the youngest categories are significant, as a matter of fact for the 15-24 age group the indicator has gone from 8.4 to 6.1%, and for the 25-29 age group from 7.1 to 5.2%.
The province ranks second at regional level after Vicenza and 36th among Italian provinces by staff flow (entrants - leavers) compared to those in employment (4.7%).
