Maria Luisa Frisa has got a degree in History of Art from the faculty of Arts and Humanities (Lettere e Filosofia) of the University of Florence.
Along with Stefano Tonchi, she collaborated with the Centro Moda of Florence on the creation of Pitti Trend - observatory on world fashion trends - from 1984 to 1985, and founded the magazine Westuff (1984-1987).
She was the curator of Armani Press Emporio Armani Magazine and, as a journalist, cooperated with L’Europeo, La Dolce Vita, Il Tirreno, and also with the weekly magazine Amica during Giusi Ferré’s co-direction, for whom she wrote a series of articles analysing fashion, art and communication trends. She is currently collaborating with the magazines Flash Art and Case da Abitare.
She worked as a communication, image and artistic events consultant for Giorgio Armani from 1987 through 2003. She operates as fashion curator and is consultant for publishing and communication projects of the Fondazione Pitti Immagine Discovery in Florence.
She has a particular interest in the blend of arts, fashion, design and graphic design, architecture, communication, and tries to convey the complexity of contemporary imagery through multi-disciplinary projects….
