(AVN) – Venice, 11 December 2009
An outstanding result was obtained at the XV Italy-Russia Task Force on industrial clusters and SMEs which took place in Venice last week: five agreements on the themes of research and cooperation between Italian and Russian enterprises.
The agreements also involve some companies from the Veneto region: Venetonanotech operating in the nanotechnologies sector, Bozzola spa from Verona as for the food sector, and other enterprises in the wood and furniture sector.
This edition of the Task Force, organised by the Regione Veneto, achieved the highest amount of agreements thus granting this tool of international collaboration a concreteness it hadn’t reached so far.
Giancarlo Galan, president of Regione Veneto, explained that: «This meeting put consolidated bases in order to make ideas and experiences between Russian and Italian enterprises concrete, as well as between the industrial clusters’ system here and Russian ones».
Vendemiano Sartor, head of the regional department of economy, underlined that: «The new three-year programme of activities starting in 2010 follows on directly from the already underway work started by over 250 companies. Therefore, the task force will go on working during the next months and develop the contacts made in these days».
The new three-year agreement was signed by the presidents of the XV Italy-Russia Task Force: Pietro Celi for Italy and Alexandr Borisov for Russia.
Giancarlo Galan also pointed out that: «The Veneto region can propose itself as a pilot actor to experiment with the novelties introduced at a national level this year […], thanks to the particular characteristics of its production and legal systems».
