Images from the hills between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene where Prosecco is produced will open the Controcampo Italiano section at the 66th Venice Film Festival, on 4th September at 2.30 pm.
Prosecco has just obtained the highest designation as for Italian quality wines: the D.O.C.G. (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita) recognition.
“Dieci Inverni”, debut movie by Valerio Mieli with Isabella Ragonese and Michele Riondino as protagonists will open this section dedicated to new trends in the Italian cinema.
The movie has its settings in Venice, Moscow and, last but not least, in the area of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene thanks to Regione Veneto, the Consorzio per la Tutela del Prosecco di Conegliano-Valdobbiadene, the Consortium for the promotion of local tourism Marca Treviso, and some producers of the area.
A cocktail will be presented so as to virtually connect Venice with Moscow, prepared with the symbols of these two areas: Prosecco from Conegliano-Valdobbiadene and vodka from Russia. Will it be the Bellini or Cosmopolitan of the future?
Prosecco will be offered during the whole Film Festival.
The press conference for “Dieci Inverni” will take place on 4th September at midday, followed by the screening of the movie.
