The Veneto Fine Wine and Cuisine Golf Tour was organized by the Consorzio Marca Treviso along with the consortia of tourism promotion of the whole Veneto region, and in collaboration with Veneto regional government, Treviso provincial government and Treviso Chamber of Commerce.

This Golf Tour travelled through 15 European countries in its 24 stages, plus Norway and the United Arab Emirates, and brought the best certified food and wine products to them as a means of promotion of Treviso area and, more generally, Veneto region.

Mr. Garatti, president of the Consorzio Marca Treviso, said that: «It was an important occasion to take a successful tool for tourism out of this event. And we can also consider the involvement and active participation of all the tourism consortia of Veneto as a success».

Mr. Manzato, vice-president of Veneto regional government, stated that: «Numbers are important; golf players are 8,000,000, of which 100,000 in Italy, and they’re constantly increasing; they represent a great opportunity for our territory, which numbers 40 golf fields».

The Veneto Fine Wine and Cuisine Golf Tour is a project of integrated tourism promotion.
Veneto region is well qualified in the world for its food products. As a consequence, these stages were characterized by a significant presence of local certified products.
