The events calendar by the Provincia di Treviso (Treviso provincial government) on local emigration was presented with the aim of promoting the cultural and social aspects of the emigration from Treviso towards different places in the world.

Took part in the event: Mrs. Barbara Trentin, provincial councillor in charge of Emigration and Immigration; Mr. Marzio Favero, provincial councillor in charge of Cultural Heritage; Mr. Giuseppe Zanini, president of the association “Trevisani nel Mondo”¹.

The Provincia di Treviso (Treviso provincial government), along with Veneto Region and the Association “Trevisani nel Mondo”, organized an series of initiatives taking place within the province on the occasion of the 16th gathering of the “Trevisani nel Mondo”. It could rely on the collaboration of the municipalities of Treviso, Sernaglia della Battaglia, Fregona, the Institute for Tourism and Catering “Maffioli” and other actors in the territory.

The event is aimed at enhancing the features that are typical of Veneto and Treviso identities, and represents a chance to understand how the Veneto and Treviso worlds have been able to interact with other cultures and countries.

Initiatives are numerous and are related to different aspects, such as the photographic show, the evenings dedicated to Veneto food and wine in the state of Santa Catarina (Brazil). Moreover, there will be themed conferences to discuss the multiple aspects of emigration and its social, cultural, economic and religious repercussions.
