Veneto trusts in internationalization, and displays encouraging data on export, marking significant outcomes and confirming the appreciation that foreign countries express towards the performance of our enterprises and the promotional activities carried out by institutions in the territory.
Exports marked a 7.8% increase with respect to 2006, totalling € 49,511 billion, and confirm Veneto as the second Italian region as for export values and openness towards international markets: an intense effort that keeps the high competitiveness of our companies.
Within this context, I consider the launch of the new English Newsletter service to be very interesting. It is a useful contribution by www.trevisosystem.com, Treviso Chamber of Commerce portal focused on Treviso economy.
It will be a valuable tool to land/ferry information regarding our territory all over the world in English and Spanish, and promote our productive fabric, which is constituted by 512 thousand enterprises over a population of almost 4 million and a half citizens.
The above-mentioned enterprises are characterized by their wide range of specializations, varying from manufacturing to tourism, from agrifood industry through shipyards to nanotechnologies.
This is the land of Marco Polo, Andrea Palladio, Giorgione, Goldoni, Canova, Mantegna and Tiziano, but also of the artist Maurizio Cattelan, the Nobel laureate Capecchi, Saint Anthony of Padua and Saint Pius X.
Our enterprises maintain the love for beauty, creative fantasy, work ethic and the entrepreneurial spirit, all of which are qualities that contributed to propagate their fame all over the world.
