From Paris to the Fashion design BA Course in Treviso, to celebrate the Benetton Groups 40 years activity, honour guest Ms Giuliana Benetton.
Enterprise accesses the University. In this way Mr Carlo Magnani Dean of the University speaks, assessing that this is a special day indeed, not just because of the occasion to hear the Benetton Group story through the descriptive skills ofMs Giuliana Benetton, but also because the celebration are taking place in Treviso at the Fashion design BA Course of the IUAV. The creation of this BA course he underlines - represents the strength of ideas which involved risks but also that owned the capacity to overcome obstacles and realise a new reality. Today he highlights there is a method notation, ideas are not drained within the classrooms and it is for this reason that the todays event is important. Thanking the Chamber of Commerce for the support given to the University and prise Giuliana Benetton for her 40 years brilliant activity, are not a void rituals. On the opposite, they are elements of a production system well rooted into the background. Around the nucleus he says there is the possibility of changes but for this we need to seek partners to act together towards the education and this is a pathway still difficult but necessary.
Mr De Michelis Course Head Master who underlines how the Fashion design course is born under request of the production system. Mr Federico Tessari Treviso Chamber of Commerce President - he reminds - had strongly prod me in supporting this new project brought forward also in partnership with Unindustria.
This University have to deal with the Fashion of Italian Industry he carries on we need people able to interpret the world having the attitude to understand the changing. The effort that we are doing is to re-produce styles enable to innovate. The fact that we are celebrating here it means to continue the way undertaken because here there will be the Benetton of future or the future Benetton.
Mr Alfonso Kratter Treviso Chamber of Commerce Deputy President take the table and says that he is particularly pleased to be present and size the atmosphere of familiarity. He greets with enthusiasm the words of the former speakers prising the relationship between enterprise and University. Our understanding he carries on is to match the production with the University, as the beginning of a route.
Today we are celebrating the Benetton 40 years activity and his creative work. I believe he pursues that the Northeast would not have been what it is now without the Benetton group and we and our enterprises would not have had the worldwide visibility, too. It is a successful story, however before the success there is the dedication, the passion which is, in our territory, willingness to work hard and create enterprise. It has been admirable the tenacity kept along this years. Spirit of adventure in Benetton towards the creativity, the innovation even before of its own enterprise. They say that our district reality would be finished when we will be able to export a 30% rate of our production and which has noticeable growth perspectives.
Ms Alessandra Pegorer Unindustria Fashion System Group President underlines the Italian creativity and is sorry that media are giving emphasis to the fashion world only when there is something wrong, while is not much incline to speak about the Italian fashion system. Today she goes on the proud is to speak about Giuliana Benetton but above all to speak about a person who realised a great project. She thanks Ms Maria Luisa Frisa for having organised the event and urges the younger to deploy the strength and the enthusiasm of their Director.
