A new season of meeting focused on fashion, Sketch_idee researches in trial, will concentrate on the most innovative ideas emerging from the current fashion landscape.
The meetings has been organised by the Fashion and Design Course of the IUAV, University of Venice, Faculty of Arts and Design, in collaboration with Treviso Chamber of Commerce. Along these meeting will be presented new young stylists and researchers to give them visibility and to foster the circulation of original approaches to the fashion study and its dynamics.
”Today the fashion world needs of new ideas and strategies - Ms Maria Luisa Frisia, Course Director - and these ideas have to be acknowledged, verified and tried. I have always trusted young as the ones able to create new ideas and I consider the talent scout mission as part of my institutional role within my Course. I believe, in fact, we need to carefully listen to who today enter in the fashion world. And this not just for the ones that introduce new models in the design, but also for the ones that want to investigate with renewed eyes past histories and possible future strategies. This is an initiative focused on them”.
The meeting season will start on Thursday the 9th of November at 2.00pm in the Cladem site, in Treviso, via A. Papa 1.
 The first sketch is for care of Ms Luana Labriola, who took her degree in History of Architecture in DAMS, Bologna, and who work on relation among design, art and architecture, the lifestyles and consumption practices.
 City Fahsion. From displayed city to the displaced city. This is the title of her speech, which will go along city and fashion relationships, short-circuiting order and caos, hearchy and anarchy, material and immaterial, couture and street style. To the thickening or thinning out the urban fabric made up of images, correspond various degree of confusion between city and fashion. These are two variables which have a common house. If the city is in a never-ending self construction process, by its own citizens and users, fashion is not just identification tool, it is not just a mere mediation, but it become also concrete its own city designing method which is always more waving.
