It is with great satisfaction that I present the new edition of the
Province of Treviso Importers and Exporters Catalogue, which is a useful working instrument for businessmen
in Italy and abroad who wish to have an overview of the enterprises in the area of Treviso that are most
active on international markets.
The purpose of creating the new listing was to offer a completely renewed publication: alongside the updated
information, an innovative editorial concept is proposed, which was modulated according to the various
consultation requirements of businessmen and which is available in the paperback, CD-rom and on-line versions.
The aspect that confers the greatest value added to the edition was the publication of a special web page,
which gives users wide-ranging possibilities of research on company data contained in the listing and permits
the integration and updating of that information, offering a dynamic image of the Province’s productive reality,
oriented towards internationalisation.
The companies listed are identified on synthetic descriptive cards containing a variety of information:
from the company name, type of activity and indication of trademarks, certificates and reference districts
to the products dealt with and the foreign markets where they operate or procure their supplies,
with an indication of eventual direct presences, such as foreign productive facilities or subsidiaries.
This publication is one of the many initiatives that the Treviso Chamber of Commerce has undertaken
to favour the internationalisation of the Provincial economic system, as part of the constant commitment
to valorise local enterprise and the strong impulse towards territorial development.
It is hoped that this guide will assume the concrete function for which it was conceived:
on one hand, to create opportunities for international economic relations and exchange for businessmen;
and on the other, to make our productive system more visible with respect to the rest of the world,
creating the conditions for more and better business opportunities for the incoming and outgoing flow of goods
and services through the local economy.
Finally, I wish to thank those who have contributed to publication of this new edition of our catalogue,
especially the Secretary General Dr. Renato Chahinian, Director of the
Enterprise Development Division, Dr. Francesco Rossato, Dr. Edy Bombonato and the entire staff of
the Foreign Promotion and Commerce Office, as well as our Special Company Treviso Tecnologia,
which handled the technical realisation and graphical design of the publication.
