A historical moment, a significant milestone in kicking off the Strategic Plan: this was the comment by the President of the Province, Luca Zaia, on signing the Pact for Treviso with the Treviso Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Craft.

"With this kind of agreement - President Zaia remarked - the Province heeds the invitation by Treviso’s trade associations in supporting the development of the area’s social and economic system and improving coordination between public agencies and institutions.

The definition of new forms of strategic planning makes the process of administrative decentralisation and the principles of subsidiarity effective; it further strengthens the existing relationship between Chamber of Commerce and Treviso Province; allows new forms of provincial development, addressing not just the needs for economic and productive growth, but also for improving the quality of life for all Trevisians.

Strategic intervention sectors such as for instance roading, environment, productive activities and the support to weaker social sectors call for long-term choices. The coordinated projects go beyond politicians’ appointments and are able to fully leverage the province’s potentialities and social network. With the strategic plan the territory "gives itself rules" which will survive individual will, and improve everyone’s life. "
