Unioncamere report updated to the 31.12.2005, based on Movimprese data regarding the concentration number of enterprises spread within the Treviso Province territory, highlight two main points: the increasing of the overall number and the decreasing manufacturing sector enterprises number.
Treviso Chamber of Commerce records, wthin the last 12 months, show that enterprise number rose of + 0.7% (93,728) compared to the 2004 data (which was of 93,071 enterprises). Basically, this is due to the increasing number of the + 3.4% of property market and services to enterprises sector (+386 enterprises).
Meanwhile, the concentration of manufacturing sector enterprises grew: -213 enterprises within 12 months resulting in a variation of -1.4%. However, the enterprises registered number are 15,364. On the contrary, absolute values are growing, particularly 3 sections of the services sector, which are: the construction sector with a growth of 351 enterprises (+2.7%); the transport sector with a growth of 55 enterprises (1.8%); the credit and insurance sector with a variation of 19 new enterprises (+1.1%) and the waste regeneration and recycling sector with 48 enterprises.Always concerning the services sector with a special reference to the person care and services, worth to highlight a significant increasing of 57 enterprises (+1.8%).
The main contractions within the manufacturing sector are as follows: the textile & clothing sector with -54 enterprises and a negative variation of -2.7%; wood industries with -47 enterprises and a negative variation of -3.5%; shoes industries with -26 enterprises with a negative variation of -4.2% and electronic devices sector with – 17 enterprises with a decreasing percentage of -3.1%.
The following sectors are stable: furniture sector with +2 enterprises and the food & drink sector with only one new enterprise. Treviso Province held the third position, after Padua and Verona, in a Regional list, for the higher number of registered enterprises in 2005 (93,728) and it was forth according with a percentage variation of + 0.7% fitting into the Regional average of + 0.9%.
However, it results to be slightly below the National data of +1.3%.
